The measurement range or the distance the camera could read people's temperature is 4 meters for the SD24 model and 15 meters for the SD26 model.
The NETD of a thermal device signifies the “Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference.” It measures how well a thermal imaging detector can distinguish between minimal differences in thermal radiation in the image. The more noise there is, the higher the NETD value of the detector. In common words, the smaller the NETD is, the sharper and more detailed image you can see from your device.
The SD2 is equipped with a detector with a 40MK ultra-low NETD, which is rare in the market (typically, you see 50mk, 60mk, or more).
The frame rate is the rate at which the infrared detector creates images. For a 9 Hz camera, it does so 9 times per second, and for a 50 Hz camera 50 times per second. It measures how quickly the infrared detector itself reacts to fast changes in the incoming radiation. When the target is moving, you will see a 'drag' effect while people are moving. Given that people move fast in the airport, subways, schools, and other places, a device with only 9hz or 30hz will be difficult to measure people's temperature and lead to low efficiency. For a 9hz device, it won't be easy to measure 100 people's temperature per minute.
The smart Facial Recognition system enables the camera to detect and measure the temperature of people's faces. It will not detect and measure the temperature of other places or objects, like a hot cup in your hands or an air-conditioner behind you. The system will eliminate other objects' influence and focus only on the temperature of people's faces.
Many devices in the market claim that they can measure multi-people data but can only present one of the people's temperatures, either randomly or the highest.
Yes and no. But we always recommend you use the device indoor to avoid the influence of wind, sunlight, and temperature fluctuation.
No, you don't.
